Our alternative down duvet inserts are also designed for our tropical weather (best enjoyed with light aircond). Made from premium alternative down, they are perfect for those who want a low maintenance insert that is hypoallergenic and vegan. Our casing is made of 100% cotton, making it more breathable than almost all polyester duvets in the market.

Choosing a duvet

Standard down: 150gsm. Recommended temp = 18-23°C. Great if you want a poofy cloud-like feel
Lightweight down: 110gsm. Recommended temp = 23-27°C. About 2/3 the filling of a standard down – similar feeling to the standard down, but less thick
Cotton duvet: 300gsm. A denser duvet, although still relatively light. Recommended temp = 22-27°C. Gives a secure feeling – extremely breathable
Alternative down duvet: 200gsm. Recommended temp = 18-23°C. Mimics the feel of down, but at a much lower price point. Slightly less breathable than the other two options, but still an excellent duvet due to its cotton casing

30 days easy returns. Products are to be returned in its original packaging and not used or washed

Care guide

There is a slight natural cotton smell which dissipates quickly upon opening the package
You do not need to wash your duvet regularly as it is protected by the duvet cover
Gentle machine wash or hand wash is possible. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry in an airy location

Premium 0.9D microfiber

Microfiber typically ranges from 0.9D – 7D, which represents how thick the fiber is. Our filling is made of the highest possible grade of microfiber. At 0.9D our filling is the Ferrari of microfibers, known for its gel-like texture to mimic the feeling of premium down.

Box construction and piping

Our duvets are made with a sewn-through construction, great for keeping the filling spaced out.

The silver piping gives the duvet an additional touch of luxury while further securing the filling within the duvet.

Quality cotton sateen casing

Our 100% cotton sateen casing is designed to complement the cotton filling and maximize breathability.

Super easy care

Synthetic fibers have the additional benefit of easy care. Our alternative down duvets are machine washable and dry quickly, both in the dryer and on the line. It also doesn’t require as much fluffing and re-arranging as some feather and down products do.

We want every single person who has bought a Kapas product to be completely happy with their purchase. We have a 30-day guarantee period, during which, if you are unhappy with the quality of your product, be it bedsheets or towels, you can return them to us for a refund or an exchange. Kindly note that the bedsheets, duvets, pillows, towels or protectors can only be returned or refunded if they are in their original packaging with all tags still attached. Sheets and towels that are washed, stained and/or soiled cannot be returned.

We do accept exchanges for size and colour. Please note that the time taken would depend on the stock that we have in store and that this would affect the shipping time needed to send the new bedsheets and towels back to you. Kindly note that Kapas does not cover the shipping cost to sending the bedsheets or towels back to us and for sending the new bedsheets or towels to you.

If you are exchanging the items for a cheaper priced one, for example, a king fitted sheet to a single fitted sheet, we would refund the price difference.

However, if the price of the newly exchanged bedsheets are of a higher price, you would have to pay for the difference in price before we ship it out to you.
