The Kapas down duvet
We designed our down insert to be “just nice” – so that you get the fluffiest of duvet inserts while feeling cosy and not too hot for our tropical weather (best with light aircond). Our duvet is available now!

We mean it when we say soft never felt this safe. The Kapas down duvet insert is certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®, meaning you’re wrapping yourself with a duvet insert that is completely free from harmful substances.
Oeko-Tex® is a globally recognised third-party institution independent from the manufacturers of the fabric which certifies that textiles are free from harmful substances.
We are also certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certification. So, you can shop our duvet insert knowing that they are sustainably and ethically made!
The perfect down-to-feather ratio
Down is much lighter and insulating than feathers, but a 100% down duvet inserts are far too warm for our tropical Malaysian weather.
That’s why we carefully designed chose just the perfect blend of down and feathers; a high percentage of down to provide you with the luxurious fluffy feeling, and a small percentage of feathers to make sure it isn’t too hot and you don’t end off kicking the duvet away in the middle of the night!
Optimal down fill power
Just like the down-to-feather ratio, we used down with the optimal fill power as well. The higher the fill power, the fluffier but warmer the duvet insert will be. We picked a high fill power of 600+ (but not too high) for our carefully designed Kapas Living duvet down insert.
What does it mean? You get a duvet insert that is suitable for our warm climate and can be enjoyed with light aircond without sacrificing comfort and fluffiness!
Luxurious cotton sateen casing
Our 300TC cotton sateen casing is specially treated to be down proof. You may notice a slight crinkly feel to it, but it is still soft and comfortable and most importantly, it ensures that no feathers escape from the fabric and you get to enjoy your duvet for years to come!
Over time, the crinkly feel will reduce gradually and your down will get softer and softer 🙂
Duvet design
Our duvets are made with a sewn-through construction, great for keeping the filling spaced out.
The double stitching and gold piping gives the duvet an additional touch of luxury while further securing the down within the duvet.
The Kapas cotton duvet
Our cotton-fill duvet inserts are made for our tropical weather (best enjoyed with light aircond). They are super breathable, hypoallergenic, a little denser and weighted and will keep you snug and cozy.

Breathable cotton filling
If you are allergic to feathers and/or asthmatic, our cotton duvet insert is a great option. Cotton is moisture wicking and very breathable, and makes for a wonderfully comfortable duvet that keeps you feeling nicely warm and cosy (best with light aircond). Our duvets are filled with 300GSM of cotton goodness!
Avoid poor quality down alternative duvets (i.e. microfibre or polyester) which are less breathable and tend to make you feel very hot.

Our 300TC 100% cotton sateen casing is designed to complement the cotton filling and maximize breathability.
Cover the duvet insert with our 400TC extra-long staple cotton duvet cover and float away into fluffy dreamland 🙂
The Kapas alternative down duvet
Our alternative down duvet inserts are also designed for our tropical weather (best enjoyed with light aircond). Made from silliconised hollow fiber, they are perfect for those who want a low maintenance insert that is hypoallergenic, vegan and easily washable. Our casing is made of 100% cotton, making it more breathable than almost all polyester duvets in the market.

Hollow siliconized fiber
Our filling is a premium synthetic fiber, specifically chosen for our weather. Unlike microfiber which is more suitable for cooler temperatures, our hollow fiber is light and breathable, thanks to its ‘hollow’ nature. Air pockets and space are created with these fibers, giving it a more breathable and fluffy feel to mimic down. It has also been siliconized giving it an extra soft touch.

Super easy care
Synthetic fibers have the additional benefit of easy care. Our alternative down duvets are machine washable and dry quickly, both in the dryer and on the line. It also doesn’t require as much fluffing and re-arranging as some feather and down products do.
