How we got started
Our journey began in 2019
Kapas was born when we went searching for the perfect bedsheets for our guests. As we run over 300 short-term rentals in Malaysia, we wanted high-quality sheets that lasted long and provided the buttery-soft feeling when you sink into them.
However, the market was flooded with poor quality sheets masking as high-end brands. It was hard to tell the difference and we ended up buying many sheets that just didn’t make the cut.
A silver lining amidst the gloom
How Covid-19 kickstarted it all
When our country began to shut down and our other business suffered huge losses, we knew we had to pivot. Many employees counted on us, not to mention our families. Hence, Kapas was born!
We worked through the pandemic, building our own website, learning everything we could about branding and marketing, and launched Kapas in October 2020.
