Our premium duvet inserts are designed for our tropical weather between 18 - 27 degrees (best enjoyed with light aircond). Select from three different materials for the perfect fit:
- Down duvet: Most luxurious - fluffy and light. Usually used in 5 star hotels.
- Cotton duvet: Most breathable - compact and flatter than the other duvets. Dry-clean required
- Alternative down duvet: Most value for money

Down duvet: Spot clean small stains with warm water and mild soap. Wash only if absolutely necessary (washing shortens lifespan). Tumble dry on low heat and ensure fully dried.
Cotton duvet: Dry clean when necessary.
Alternative down duvet: Gentle machine wash; hang dry or tumble dry low heat.

Our duvets use breathable cotton casings to maximise airflow. Down uses down-proof cotton; alternative down and cotton inserts use smooth, breathable cotton sateen casings.
Down and alternative down are machine-washable (low heat tumble dry, dry fully). Cotton duvets should be dry-cleaned when necessary.

1st purchase, an easy and hassle-free experience indeed. Bought alternative down duvet. I particularly like the smart labels so no headache anymore with the cover. Also the box construction and piping really great for keeping the filling spaced out! Keeping me warm too. Just perfect!
The previous duvet I had for a queen size bed just didn't have the length I want. kapas alternative duvet met my requirements. the right length the right fluffiness so I can snuggle in bed nicely. it really feels like the ones at the hotel. Perfect to use in Aircon room.
Measure dimension is accurate. The hybrid blanket is fluffy and warm. Not too thick. Very suitable for an air conditioned room 26 degree C.
The duvet case material although just 400TC but it feels like at least 900TC as comparing to other brands such as Cannon or Jean Perry.
Super king size duvet can cover for two super single sized bed parked together.
Overall, 4 stars for Kapas Living. Less one star because the packaging box for the duvet cover was badly damaged. Even with hand written card but quite disappointed with the box look overall. Was suppose to keep the case box but no choice gotta throw it away due to that.
Delivery is as promised and the order items were delivered accurately. Happy overall, if only the boxes were not damaged. Would try Sonno for my next set, and share my point of views.
I was very impressed with the team at Kapas. They were friendly and of great assistance. The alternative down duvet is comfortable but I feel that the size should be slightly longer so that the sides of the bed can fully covered. It also looks a bit lumpy (not sure if it's due to my thin sheets) and does not give the smooth hotel bed look.
Hi Jo! Thank you for the lovely review and feedback :) Our duvets are of standard sizes so that it matches most duvet covers - however, will definitely look into it for our next batch. Its sewn in a box design to spread out the filling. For the hotel feel, do check out our down duvets!
Very happy to have stumbled upon Kapas' website and to find out about its high quality bedding items. The weight and the size of the duvet is perfect for our oddly sized bed. The addition of labels indicating the sides and small ties to position the quilt perfectly in the cover are excellent and has made bed changing a dream.

I am pretty happy and satisfied with myself for choosing the alternative duvet insert! Actually I would love to have all the KAPAS duvet inserts, but I chose ADI because it is light, fluffy, not hot, comfortable, beautifully sewn and most importantly it requires fuss-free maintenance. Don’t worry, this is completely normal!
That crinkly noise of the duvet is due to the downproof cotton casing, which prevents the feathers from escaping. With gradual use over time, these threads will eventually soften up, and the crinkly sound will reduce gradually.
However, if the noise bothers you, do opt for our cotton duvet inserts instead.
Alternative down and cotton duvets are hypoallergenic; down may not suit those sensitive to feathers.
